Spencer Reynolds, headshot

Hi, I'm Spencer.

I've spent over a decade designing and shipping experiences for cloud, AI, and developer tools in close collaboration with executive leaders in product and engineering. For the past five years, I've managed design teams of five to ten — responsible for the UX of a product portfolio that grew annual recurring revenue from $2B to $3B.

After studying Industrial Design at Brigham Young University, I got my start at IBM Cloud, working on PaaS offerings in the cloud compute space. I led the launch of multiple 0→1 products, then had the opportunity to manage the team responsible for maintaining and expanding our portfolio of developer services.

From there I joined Microsoft Developer Division, managing the Azure Compute design team. We launched multiple products and my team expanded to include Developer Tools design. My team has since moved to Microsoft CoreAI, where we focus on AI-augmented product experiences and integrating AI tools into our production workflow.

As a design leader, building and maintaining effective cross-functional partnerships is one of my super powers. I build trust through continuous technical learning and I hold an MBA from Wharton — which helps me coach my team to balance user and business outcomes. I pride myself on creating elegantly simple user experiences from otherwise complex workflows.
